Maria is 75 years old and had been living alone for six months since her husband passed away. Her son and daughter live in Adelaide and they wanted her to move to the city where they could visit and look after her. But Maria has lived in Goolwa her entire life. Even though her children and grandchildren lived further away, she wanted to remain in her community as she aged, among friends and familiar surrounds.
